I have been journaling since University days, over 30 years ago.
Fancy journals were not in vogue then.
Up to now, I still use the plain old simple spiral lined notebook.
As you can imagine, I have a stack of filled up journals. Many of them now tattered, but still intact.
Journals have kept me company over the years through the ebb and flow of life, while:
- single and studying
- on my first romantic relationship
- working a 9-5 job
- traveling heavily for consulting work
- getting married
- raising three kids
- migrating to Canada
- working from home
- experiencing the joys of aging
- PLUS everything in between!
My journals mirror my life, the most part of it I surely would have forgotten had they not been journalized.
I have yet to write out countless outlined content in there.
My remaining years, for sure, are not enough to mine whatever I have in my journals but my journaling journey is all worth it.
Just promises of better days.
In the company of my faithful journal.
